How to Drive a Dragon Crazy - G.A.Aiken

(Texto em PT mais abaixo)

It's no secret I am a huge fan ( in a guilty pleasure way) of author G.A.Aiken / Shelly Laurenston. I particularly love her bear shifter books, which she writes as Shelly, but I enjoy all the other immensely as well. They have the best badass women, the funniest men and the best crazy dialogues ever. They make me laugh and always manage to improve my mood, which I desperately needed this week.

I didn't enjoy the last Dragon book as much as I had enjoyed the previous, so it took me a long time to start reading this one. I've had it in my kindle for quite some time. This was the perfect time for it, because it is sooo much fun and Eibhnéar, the Comtemptible, the beautiful huge Blue Dragon (even as a man) is the second most amusing brother, right next to his vain and self centered golden brother, Gwenvael. Also, Izzy, his "niece", is a real badass and owns an ugly, smelly, ferocious sort of dog. All the other dragons and humans from the previous books are at their best too.

There's lots of awsome action (human and dragon) and stuff happening all the time, not only with the couple, but also in the family. A weird cult, wild powerful magic, decisions to be made and fights to be had. They balance the book, so that it doesn't become too lovey-dovey... which I'm not sure it could ever be, because this couple... oh lord this couple!

They have a history together. Her mother married his older brother, so they are uncle and niece... but not by blood. "Believe me, it matters." (he's always stressing this) Also, they haven't spoken or seen each other for ten years, and didn't part in the best of terms. They were both young and annoying then. When they meet again, they are both powerful warriors, scary and very much set in their ways. She teases him all the time with the uncle / family thing,  he gets mad. They circle around each other - which is hilarious!! - until they... well, they decide to get each other out of "the system", and end up... ermmm. Well. From then on... hmm, the teasing goes on. And the... ermmm, "getting out of the system" too. A lot. With a lot of action and physical harm (limbs and tales fly, eyes are put out, dragon guts spill and so on), and family hard love too. The brothers are amazing together, theirs is an agressive, insulting, physically painfull love. The things they say and do to each other, pointing fingers at each other for insignificant things, to escape their wives anger... oh, boy. Their wives anger. These women are fighters, even the ones who don't actually fight.

Can't wait to read the next!!
